St John Ambulans Malaysia Wilayah Persekutuan (SJAM WP) offers a variety of training, community and operational activities for adult members. These programmes strengthen first aid capabilities, promote community engagement and uphold the standards of our organisation.
This course is designed for adult members who are responsible for delivering first aid training to fellow members, school groups, volunteers, the public and corporate clients.
The Advanced First Aid course builds on foundational first aid knowledge, focusing on more complex procedures and scenarios. It is intended for adult members who already possess basic first aid training. Successful participants may qualify to serve on SJAM’s 999 ambulance teams. Completion of this course is also a prerequisite for becoming a certified First Aid Trainer.
Held annually, the Regional Review assesses members on uniform standards, discipline and overall performance. The event also includes the presentation of awards and recognitions such as the UK’s Grand Prior Award and the 1,000 Hours Special Service Shield.
One pack of blood can save up to three lives. To support national blood reserves, SJAM WP organises annual blood donation campaigns in collaboration with Pusat Darah Negara. These events are held in popular venues across Kuala Lumpur, including Sunway Velocity and AEON Taman Maluri. Details of upcoming drives are posted on our official Facebook page.
The Charity Run raises funds to upgrade equipment for our free 999 Emergency Ambulance Service and to support public CPR and first aid education. It brings together members, supporters and the public in a shared effort to improve emergency preparedness.
A recent mock drill simulated a road traffic accident involving a bus and SUV with multiple casualties along the Sungai Besi Expressway near the Loke Yew Toll Plaza. Organised jointly by SJAM WP and Besraya Sdn Bhd, the exercise tested the readiness of emergency responders.
Participating agencies included SJAM WP, Besraya Sdn Bhd, Polis Diraja Malaysia, the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Hospital Ampang and Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz.
